Flutterby

A detailed painting i made of a butterfly.
Poster paints on a thick cartridge sheet.

Paintings

I remade my kathakali dancers on the saying of a teacher, and they came out really well.
Poster paints on Vasli Sheet (Hand-made sheet)

Composition.
Poster Paints on Vasli Sheet.

Woodcut Print

I really enjoyed this medium as well, although, etching in wood is tiresome and tedious. It tends to get painful and a part of my middle finger is still numb because of it.  But the result made me happy. I made some more too, i will put up the pictures soon.

Still-Life Study

I have made these using Glass Marker Pencils on Normal Black Sheets.
This medium brings out the glass effect beautifully.

Still-Life Study

These have been made using 2B, 4B, 8B and 10B shading pencils on Thick Cartridge with a mild texture.

Scluptures

These are the first sculptures i have ever made. They're all made in terracotta.
I've posted them in the order they were made in.

This is the sculpture i made. It's my grandfather's old shoe. I made it the same size as the shoe itself.

Two dented diet coke cans, again, the same size.

Figure-study. The size of this sculpture is about 11-12 inches (including the cube)

My hand.

It's been a while

I haven't posted in a long long time, mainly because a lot happened, i shifted from one city to another and started doing, for the first time, a proper course on art. So, yes, I am now doing my Bachelors in Visual Arts and it's quite  new to me. I am incredibly guilty these days, as i have not been sketching as much as i should. I only work on my college assignments and assessments. I have to start working on my own personal input and output now.

Apart from that, i have come to LOVE sculpting. I always thought that i was more of a painter or a sketcher but sculpting has really touched me and i am obsessed with terracotta. But because i am in the learning stages, i have to sketch a lot more, to perfect my hand to eye co-ordination and all my skills, post which i will start putting them to use in creating my own signature art work. That will happen in a while though.

Anyways... i will post more regularly now as i hope to create regularly too.

Oh My Cheezyness.

I cannot believe I made this, it's extremely cheezy, but oh well.... so. umm. love, anyone?

Supposedly Something WOOT.

My vivid recreation of Watson from Sherlock Holmes.
It doesn't look anything like him, but oh well, I love how it's come out.

Untitled.

I don't know why I made this.
Found it in one of my drawers and thought I'd put it up.

The Kathakali Dancers...

This, again, is for my portfolio, I reeeaaally enjoyed making this one, the patch-style of painting was a challenge and a LOT of fun.

My portfolio has a lot of paintings but it's not with me as of now, when I do get it back I will upload all the other stuff...
